In May of 2016, we hosted the first-ever Kendall’s Kilometers, a 5k race and 1-mile walk. That event was so successful, and so much fun, that we are doing it again. The next Kendall’s Kilometers 5k will take place on May 6, 2017, and will kick off at the River’s Edge Sports Complex in Roanoke, VA.

Event Details: Date, Time and Location
This event honors the life of Kendall Bayne, who passed away in October 2015 after an almost 5-year battle with cancer. Kendall’s grace and courage inspired many people across the Roanoke Valley, and across the entire state. Her smile always lit up a room. This 5k race and 1-mile walk will raise funds for several causes that were near and dear to Kendall’s heart.

Additional details: The race begins on Wiley Drive in Roanoke, VA and ends at Smith Park. Parking is located at River’s Edge. Racers will cross the bridge to the race start on Wiley Drive. The race ends at Smith Park. This is a rain or shine event. There are no refunds for this event.

Funds raised from this event will go to support the Kendall Bayne College Scholarship; TGen; and First Descents, an adventure program for young adults diagnosed with cancer.
